After a little bit of digging turns out she slept with this person a few years ago. She's saying it's just a shirt and it was given as a new shirt. But to me it means more. Should I be mad? Her past lovers and partners always find a way into our present relationship.

 I agree, from what you have said, its just a shirt. However, with regard to your comment about your girlfriends past lovers and partners ..... are the really finding a way into your present relationship or are you opening the door wide and saying "hi, come on in"?

It must have been quite the "prodding" you gave her for her to "spill the beans" where it was from. And honestly, not healthy for you to QUESTION her where she got a t-shirt from. Seriously?
I have some football Jerseys (what you American's call Soccer) from my first BF's team. Always wore them to games. These days I use them as night shirts. They are comfortable. I don't sit and REMINISCE of the "golden days" with my ex when I wear them. THEY are JUSt t-shirts.
