My boyfriend flinches at my touch and doesn't like my teenage son. What's wrong?

A female United Kingdom age , anonymous writes:

I have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years, when i first met him he had been on his own for 10 years and had drugs/drink problem and was very depressed.

I supported him completely whilst he was coming off the drugs and drink and did everything i could to try and help him combat his depression.

He moved in with me 12 months ago and is drug free now its been really difficult at times, now everytime he feels down he blames my teenage son saying he cant cope. when i ask what he has done wrong he says nothing. I have noticed that he gets irrated if my son is around. He is fine with his twin brother and my other 2 kids.

Just dont know what to do. I feel like I have been used. he says he loves me and although I get lots of cuddles it rarely goes any further. If I touch him sometimes he flinches away and if I question this he says that I am insecure.

I dont think its depression as if anyone else is here he is all smiles.

maybe he doesn't fancy you any more, or he never was in love with you - he was on drugs when he met you after all.
