I mean when I was thirteen, me and my best friend used to share boyfriends and she had crushes on my bf's and I on hers. And we were honest with each other. And we didn't care. But we had that kind of friendship. Like no guy could come between us type of friendship. And we didn't really take guys that seriously anyways, so I guess that is why it didn't seem like a big deal to us.

But I suggest that you tell her that he asked you out BEFORE you go out with him, though. Cause if I had done that to my friend BEHIND her back then we would have never been as close as we were. We probably wouldn't have been friends at all.

The fact that you are even asking this question shows that you are true friend. At your age I wouldn't care I would just go out with him and just rub it in her face. Does she know that you like him too? Because if she does chances are that she has thought of the possibility of you going out with the guy also. When I was 17 a 'friend' of mine fixed up my "best friend" with this guy that they both knew I liked. Nothing happened between them but it hurt me to learn that they did that behind my back knowing I liked him.

I suggest you tell your friend this guy asked you out and ask her if it will be OK with her. It's better to maintain a good friendship than to risk it all for a guy. Let's be mature about this. You are like 14, you are not going to marry this guy. But true friendship is a treasure not everyone is lucky to find in their lives.
