I'm planning to get married soon and would like to know whether generally women find it okay for men to wear tights. Dear OP,
In general, tights are still considered a rather feminine thing at the gym. If you're a very individualistic person who doesn't care about being mocked, you are free to wear them wherever you want.
But if you want to look "sexy" to the average woman, I'd recommend a sleeveless shirt. At the gym, men should look as if they don't care too much about their clothes.. and impress with their bodies instead (women have a good eye for mens' bodies no matter what you wear). If you want to show off your muscular legs, wear basketball or soccer shorts.

You gotta leave something up to the imagination dude. If your interpretation of tights means everyone can see the exact shape and size of your junk, then no, not sexy at all.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 January 2015): I don't care for tights. If it exposes you, yuck! I might think you were gay too. I don't wear them myself, just sometimes thigh highs if it's cold or I want to cover my legs for skirts/dresses. I usually just wear nothing or longer socks if i't s longer dress/skirt which I prefer for comfort. Tights and things that are too tight aren't healthy, they cut off air supply & circulation, cause yeast infections and irritations. Unless you need compression tights for medical purposes I wouldn't use them.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2015): Well I think football players are so sexy. They wear tights. And that is part of the reason why I find them sexy. Cause it outlines their body. People think I watch football because I actually care who wins. I do root for my friends teams, but I watch football so I can see men in tights. Another type of athlete that wears tight fitting gear are surfers. They wear wetsuits. And they look sexy in their skin tight wetsuits. Not as good as football players look (different body types) but they are a close second. So men can in fact look good wearing tights. But you have to understand too that these are uniforms these men wear for optimal performance. They are not wearing this to try to look sexy. Thats just what they need to wear. If you are wearing them to feel comfortable and for optimal performance then that's cool. If you are doing it to be sexy...that's not sexy. Another thing too is your body type. If you have a strong physique and a strong lower body then tights will look flattering. If your lower body/legs are skinny, then tights are not flattering. One last thing, tights that are long, from waist to ankle are flattering on the right body type. But if you are wearing short tights, that cut off at your thigh, unless you are Axl Rose, that is not flattering. And remember, the sexiest people don't try to be sexy. That's what makes them sexy. They wear what they wear because they have to or because they are comfortable. The second you "try" to be sexy just to go to the friggin gym, your effort will be transparent, and your sex appeal will go down the toilet.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2015): Generally women do NOT find tights sexy in a man.I have been in fitness for many years. It is very uncommon for men to wear tights to a gym. The only time you will find men in tights is when they are about to have a SWORD FIGHT!!! LOL .... Kidding aside, likely tights are worn by men who are running or doing certain sports like cycling or playing team sports. But generally these are professional athletes. But your typical, average male in a gym does not carry the same weight or approval factor in the tights department.Now if you like tights, maybe wear them but with a baggy pair of shorts over them.... guy type shorts. So they look more rugged or masculine. I think it all stems from the easy view of a man's package. Can be just a bit perverted or freaky to a lot of women. Most women are not too impressed by a man who advertises his package too much. Aside from Big Bertha who hasn't had any action for awhile! Lol... It works the opposite way for guys to see women's physical attributes but us women find it generally unappealing to see "man parts" and this is often the butt of jokes between us! Seriously, we will snicker amongst ourselves about it!If you are not concerned about how others view you and are comfortable in them, by all means, to each his own. But it is clear you are concerned about how women will perceive you when you wear them or you would not be here asking the question. Yes you are a taken man and do not have to lure any women anymore. But other women may not find them as appealing as your fiancé. Question is do you really care?I can tell you that as a woman it would definitely not turn me on. It would not turn me off either necessarily if I liked the guy or found him attractive but still.... tights would not be my first choice in male attire, even if they are comfortable and worn for working out at the gym.I like baggy shorts or track pants much better. Or short bicycle type tights only. There is so much to be said for the imagination instead of letting it all hang out so to speak. Just strikes as a bit more creepy for guys.Girls, on other hand, are a guy's dream in tights for obvious and all the right reasons. I wear tights only when I teach fitness classes or work out. If you have the body for them, why not?But again, it is a personal taste for men. I suspect some women may like them but my opinion based on experience is that most women do not.Hope this helps!

 It depends. I generally don't like to see men in tights. I do remember guys at the gym wearing these and I found it awkward at times when you are trying to work out and you lay on a bench getting some shiny spandex crotch in your face -not attractive. Personally, those were the guy at the gym you DIDN'T look at. Now the guy with the knee-length "tights" and loose fitted shorts over, still shows off his body, but you don't get the whole "banana hammock" in your face.
However if it makes you feel good and the women around you aren't feeling uncomfortable, then I guess go for it.
BTW I find tiny male swimsuits VERY unattractive too.

 I wonder what you mean by "planning to get married soon" as well. What does that have to do with wearing tights? Or do you mean, you want to get married, but haven't found a girlfriend yet, and wonder if wearing tights will be good to attract women?
If you already do have a woman you are going to marry, then you should not care what other women will think of you. If you're single, and just looking to find a woman, then my suggestion is that you do not do this at the gym, people women at the gym are there to work out, not get chatted up by guys. Whether they wear tights or not.
As for men in tights: it's fine, some like it, some don't, but you should wear them if YOU like them.

 If you're planning to get married soon it really shouldn't matter what other women find 'sexy', but to answer your question, the pictures I Googled of men in gym tights seemed acceptable.
