How far from you is her college? You could pay her visits once in while, in weekends, considering the physical distance between you two.
I absolutely understand this situation, I've been there myself, but nothing compares to the real thing, if you take my meaning. Also, long distance relationships are based on communication mostly and keep in touch as often as you can. So, I truly hope, in time, you won't lose interest in your girlfriend or vice versa.
