Ok, well this is a common teen sex question but im looking for an answer but i dont see any that fit my question so here it is. plus a little 2 it.

My boyfriend and i had unprotected sex last night, and he used the pull out method. ( i hadnt gotten my period this month yet) But this morning i see that i got it. Is there a reason for that? How come the morning after having sex i get my period? Anyways, im now scared to wait time, to see if i get any symptoms of being pregnant. Im going to talk to my boyfriend and tell him that i do not want to have unprotected sex anymore. Im just scared right now, im trying not to stress on it though. I understand that im young and shouldnt even be having sex in the 1st place, but i did so yea. Could i go buy the emergency pill?? or how soon can i take a pregnancy test? ?

If you got your period the day after you had sex then you can relax you are not pregnant. Ovulation has already happened and as the egg was not fertilised you are now mensturating. You've been lucky this time but in future always always use contraception.

I'd suggest you ask your doc about birth control (if you are not happy doing that then you shouldn't be having sex) and also make sure your boyfriend uses a condom every time you have sex.

i dont know wether this is an actual fact but i have had my period brought on by rough sex on more than one occasion or its just coincidence idk. as for you getting preganant no you cant be see what your period is is an unfertile egg and your sack leaving your body if you were fertile(pregnant) you wouldnt have your rag. but it is possible to get pregnant during your period as thats when the cycle starts fresh then 28 days later the egg will die and the process is repeated. also if your tits feel sore or heavy its not a sign of pregnancy but ovulating so dont get freaked out and start noticing “signs”. just dont use the pullout theory i as well as my brother are both living proof it does not work according to our father anyways.

A female reader, xanthic United States +, writes (12 September 2010):

xanthic agony auntGetting your period means you're not pregnant, because your uterus is shedding the layer a fertilized egg would normally latch on to. This doesn't happen when you're pregnant because that layer becomes part of the placenta, which is necessary for an egg's (and eventually, fetus') survival. Honestly, if you don't know how your own reproductive system works, you shouldn't be having sex until you're more educated on the subject.

Obviously, no one here can stop you from doing what you want to do. If you intend to have sex with your boyfriend again, I suggest you read up on it and find a better method of contraception.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (12 September 2010):

You can go get the emergency pill, but if you had your period you're not pregnant. The emergency pill prevents the fertilized egg (if any) from implanting and you have basically a period. So no need since you just had one, you are not pregnant. But definitely, use condoms if you are going to be sexually active. In the event you need the morning after pill (now they even have several days after) you can get that from going to Planned Parenthood. But it is just easier to use a condom. A lot of time when a young boy is going to have sex they don't want the girl to change their mind about having the sex, and the feel that saying the need to put a condom on may jeopardize their chance for sex. I found quite the opposite approach, if I noticed any hesitancy in sex when I was younger I made sure the girl knew I had condoms, it usually sealed the deal and everyone was a happy camper.

Yos agony auntThe 'pull out method' is only a method of getting pregnant. It's not contraception at all! It doesn't work.

If you're planning on having more sex with him, please use REAL contraception. Otherwise you'll be back on this site soon asking us how to tell your parents about your unwanted pregnancy.
