A male United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

ok, so i posted a question before, and got a pretty good result with the answer, but this is a follow up, not really what to do next, but what should i think?

me and a girl on my high school's debate team are kinda together, like we act like we are in a relationship, but we arent official, but everyone thinks we are.

so i met this girl two weeks ago on tuesday. And on thursday she made a lot of moves, we held hands, she put her hand on my leg, head on my shoulder, and she put my hand aroumd her waist.

i was kinda surprised because i didnt expect her to make any moves, i didnt even know that she liked me.

so on saturday we took the bus to get to the tournament, and we cuddled for a while and talked and it was intimate and nice. and she also kissed me on the cheek.

During the meet we had agreed that we would act proffesional,.but she came over to me and did all the couple stuff anyway.

on the way back, we had some more moments, and i kissed her on the nose, which led to us actually kissing, a lot. this was the first time i ever kissed someone and she seemed surprised by that, and she seemed happy that i was willing to kiss her. after this i asked her if we were official then, she said she wanted to be a couple, but she also wanted to get to know me better, so i said that was fine.

now we are going on a date on wednsday, but my question is: if she's moving so fast, and i say she cause she made almost all the first moves, i even tried avoiding the kiss at first, cause i thought i would be bad at it, but still doesnt want to be official, should i be worried? i only had one girl before, but she was just using me, so i guess im kinda of unsure a lot. should i be worried about another guy? or does she just want a friends w/ benefits kinda thing?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

p.s.

my friend who also liked her, said he heard her talking about me and another guy that she had a thing with before. but i dont know how credible that source is, since he also likes her.

CindyCares agony aunt She is not moving particularly fast, she just engineered for the kiss that you, left to your own devices , would have waited ages before giving her. Normal move, it's not like she unzipped your fly in public .

I think it's very sweet and cute of you wanting to be a couple since the very first kiss, and that's how generallly things went ( but not always ) way back then when I was in high school- but I think it also makes sense that before making it official-official, telling it to everybody and promising you rock-solid committment, she wants to get to know you a bit better, see if you two get along , if you actually have something in common more than the wish to kiss and be kissed.

Conclusion, I would not worry if I were you. I'd go on my date on Wednesday, enjoy it, and take it from there. I also would try to hide my preoccupation about possible rivals, because smells of lack of confidence which is a turn off.
