writes:Hey,I need some advice about this teacher at my school. Well the thing is am a girl myself and the teacher is also a girl, the thing is that I think she fancies me but Im not sure, she isn't my teacher but I do talk to her now and again and we get on fine. The only reason why I think she might like me is because when I talk to her with my mates they say she always concentrates on me and acts abit flirty with me and they have also caught her looking at me then looking away and then looking back at me, I have actually seen her doing this! Even once I was walking down the corridoor and as I turned around the corner i seen her walking down on the right hand side so I went to the opposite side and I turned my head around to see where my mate was, and suddenly she bumps right into me but she had loads of room to walk down and as she bumped into me my mates seen it and said "Miss Why did you do that on purpose" She said she didn't and carried on walking.Have you got any advice on whats going on here please?

 In the UK it is illegal for teachers to start relationships with their pupils or to try that sort of thing. It becomes a child protection matter if she physically pursues you. It does happen - people think of the male teacher/ female pupil scenerio, but of course female teachers can be predators too. I don't think there is anything substantial in what she has done to you so far - no obvious verbal sexual advances or physical touching. However, if you think she is making your life uncomfortable talk to your head of year (in confidence). If that person has a word with her, it may stop the unprofessional conduct.

If, however, she does something more overt, then you may have to report her. But for the time being, until she does something explicit, your best option is to avoid her and to keep friends around you whenever she is about.
It may be nothing, and it could be unconscious. But if it is intentional, there's nothing you can do until she does something that really does violate the rules. One thing I recommend to female friends is that they carry around a voice recorder in their purse. In the event that you feel uncomfortable about a situation, turn it on. Simple as that.
