A female United States age 30-35, *ady doom writes:

im confused!!

I had this party yesterday and i invited my whole class, my crush was invited as well. The guys at the party(who were more btw)did not want to dance but instead sat together and chatted, so one of them asks for playing cards.

I went and got'em and gave'em to them to play. Now the girls wanted to play cards so we gathered up. They decided to play this games which i wasnt very good at. I was sitting in-front of my crush,(he was able to see my cards) so i asked if he knew how to play this game he said yes then i asked him can you help me. He said no but i wasn't surprised because he was saying no to lotsa things, food, drinks(pop)... i asked is there somthing wrong because he didn't want to do anything...(would you consider this as i like you typathing)

Later, we played pool, so it was me and this other girl who is very good friends with my crushes bestfriend. so the 4 of us played 2on2, they wanted to play boys/girls buti said we don't know how to play well so we teamed up, my crush chooses me(i was so happy btw)so we somehow started flirting as in hey dont talk to my partner, if you wanna talk to her you talk to me first and that kinda thing...so i was just wondering, do we have chemistry together or does he just consider me as a friend.

Is he teasing me??..because if i meant something to him wouldn't that make want to help me when we were playing cards so that it doesnt matter, or is he rejecting me?? Help a confused teenager out

A female reader, anonymous, writes (25 December 2007):

Sounds like your reading into things to much, personally. But that's what you do when you like someone. Ask a friend to ask him if he likes you and if he says no just get her to say; "oh it just seems like you do some times" Then you just carry on as normal like nothing ever happened
