Question - (5 May 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 5 May 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

my guy friend is on vacation, he left on sunday. i told him to have a great time, have fun, he said, we will be in touch. well before he left, he and i were discussing the possibility of taking the next step into our relationship. before he left, he called me everyday!!! text, phone, hanging out at movies, etc., well now, nothing; i know he is on vacation, and out of the country, but is it asking too much to will him to call me? maybe a text to say hi? i don't know...

i am confused. i was happy with being friends, but he started flirting, more longer hugs, kissing., it's weird. maybe he has come to his senses, and realizes we should be friends only? ugh, maybe he met someone?! he is due to return this weekend, should i ignore him? should i back off from the possibility of being more than friends? should i eat the two pints of ben and jer's i have stashed in my freezer and watch LMN?

laetitia agony auntDo not call or text him. He is on vacation. If he feels like it, he'd call you. From my experience men don't like it when women call them too often.

My advice is to not call him until he contacts you first when he returns. Until then, get busy with your life. When he calls you, act like you're happy to hear from him and ask him briefly how was his vacation.

CindyCares agony aunt Take a deep breath and get a grip, please, He is in vacation ! He left Sunday and today it's only Wednesday ! He's coming back this weekend anyway !

Ok,I understand that you would like to be his first and foremost thought and feek a little bad that somehow he can survive without talking to you for a few days. But that should not be enough to precipitate such an emotional turmoil, don't you think ?
