 I think the only way that someone could do this would be to obtain your password. If you have got a password with digits and letters that only you know i think thay would be hard pushed to hack into your email.

Yeah need more info.....
But to be honest if you have fairly standard security setting on your email yes they can. Even easier if they know your password some how.
