My wife told me she's a virgin,that she didn't have sex in her previous relationships but I opened up to her that I've had sex before. On our first night, she bled and some smelly discharge came out of her. She repeatedly complained of abdominal pains during intercourse. Bleeding and the smelly discharge continued for one month. Her vagina is also slack and watery when we have sex.We saw a doctor who prescribed urine culture tests for both of us plus a vaginal swab test and a scan for her. My result showed I had no infections, while her scan showed signs of pelvic inflammatory disease(PID). She was placed on a 10-day antibiotics course during which we abstained from sex. My questions is: can a virgin contract PID? Is it possible for her vagina to get so wide now if she had not been having sex before?

As to your question as to whether a virgin can be infected with pelvic inflammatory disease, do a Google search for "pelvic inflammatory disease virgin." There are quite a few search results that address this question. I looked at a few results and they indicated that PID is often due to an existing STI although it is possible to also contract it without any sexual contact.

 Just like men's penises have different sizes and shapes, SO does women's vaginas. Your wife's vagina might just BE wider than what YOU think it should be. she might also have a loose pelvic floor (not good muscle tone in the area) which makes it seem wider/softer. That is something she can work at IF she chooses - with Kegel exercises.
As for PID - I'd ask the doctor. However, you ought to educate yourself a bit here.
"Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is a serious bacterial infection of the female reproductive organs. Men cannot develop PID, and it is not contagious (however, men can carry the bacteria that was the initial cause of PID)."
So in short, YOU can have been the reason she HAS PID.

 As far as vaginal sizes I wouldn't know. But I assume just like penises vaginas come in different sizes so maybe hers is slightly wider than the girth of your penis and vice versa. Not everyone's genitals perfectly fit together like a lego piece. But It can be worked on.Can someone contract PID as a virgin? Yes, this is what I found on research. inflammation of the pelvis happens when a colony of bacteria takes over, The colony over grows and starts to takeover. They travel up from the "vagina"to the internal reproductive organs and spread. The most common causes of PID are the two bacterias that cause gonorrhea and chlamydia,the 3rd most common one is (Gardnerella vaginalis) which can naturally be found in the vaginal flora and in small colonise would cause no problems in healthy women.A certain % of women with pelvic inflammation already had an existing STI such as chlamydia or gonorrhea. according to the NHS "1 in 4 women contract PID from an untreated std/sti".I hope it helps.

reader, anonymous, writes (7 June 2017): The vagina does not stretch out from sex. If her vagina is wide now, it is because it always was that size. If she seemed tighter at first, that was because she was not relaxing and tightening her muscles. Also, being "watery" is a good sign as it shows she is aroused and can have sex without pain. As for her PID, you would have to ask the doctor this, but apparently you can contract it without having had sex before. I don't see a reason why you should mistrust your wife. Ask the doctor this, because this is a medical question. But as I did a quick google search, I didn't see that PID is ONLY caused bt STI's, but that is often can come from untreated STI's. In which case, she must have an STI also, which the doctor did NOT find in her, correct? So that means it can not have come from an STI, meaning there is no correlation between her PID and previous sex. There is nothing here to suggest that she has lied to you.
