I see this guy at the bar every now and then.My drunk friend told him I liked him a cpl of months ago and she said that hes not interested.One night we played pool together and talked for over an hr about misc stuff and he was stoked im into video games and when leaving said it was great talkin to me, he hopes he sees me again and he shook my hand.When I see him and dont say hi..he says " hey.. how are you?" or he constantly mentions this glittery green hat that my friend took from him on st pattys day."wheres my hat?/im still waiting for my hat".Saw him last night and he said that.So I thought,maybe hes actually serious about this stupid hat.So I asked him if he was serious and he said "oh its just an inside joke we (us) have, Im just kidding"(then he rubbed my back).I said oh ok?..cos if you were serious, id buy u one lol,..but..hello works too.So he waved n said hello.Our encounters are random and odd..he just brings up the hat or says goofy crap..but doesnt have a convo w/ me. also..I find him incredibly attractive and cant seem to work up the courage to ask for his number or talk to him much..My qs are - does he sound interested or is he just a weirdy? and if he seems semi interested.. how do i start a convo..or what would be something good to say or a way to get his number?

 If you want his number, just ask him directly and he would oblige you .Most guys have no problems with that. You only have to ask him.
He has the interest in you . You can get to know his hobbies and interests and then you can take up those interests, so that you will have something to talk about.
