Question - (11 July 2009) 5 Answers - (Newest, 16 July 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My teacher, Mr * lets call him, I believe I might be attracted to him. It's really bad, I can't think straight if I know he's around...I admit I dream about him...lovely dreams about us dancing together on a beautiful yacht at midnight, holding each other very close but never kissing. Sorry, I'm getting carried away, I like being dramatic - it adds adventure to my boring life. Oh, and to make sure this question is posted I'll make my question clear before I continue. Do I like him to the extent where it's unhealthy? I find that when I am in his class I work harder then ever, look at him as much as possible, take in every bit of him. I ALWAYS try to be near him...sit outside his classroom at break and lunch.

Sometimes I create anonymous letters written to Mr *, telling him things like "I love you so much, your funny, good-looking, kind, brilliant - good at science!" (He’s a science teacher) but then throw them away because I'm scared he wont appreciate it. I feel ashamed and disappointed with myself at the same time. Oh, and in each letter I have said that he should be proud that a student fancies him! I believe it's like an extra cookie in your lunch box! (Is that weird?) God, I am weird aren't I? I'm normal as far as I know - a little eccentric maybe...He has gorgeous blue eyes that seem to glow, light chestnut hair with honey blond streaks and a big nose! But he likes the same things as me, like (and PLEASE don't think we are weird because it's just a hobby) we both collect fossils and precious stones, and both have a passion for skeletal structures of animals...a little strange I admit lol.

I usually feel sick if I know that Mr * isn't going to be around when I'm at school. I always put on a little make up when I know he will be around me more that day or whatever. But a strange thing is - though it's probably a good thing - is that I feel happy for his wife...not jealous like usual. I just force myself to think "what a lucky girl!” In fact, while writing this I have almost answered my own question... But let me say a few more things.

He is very humorous, always making jokes and having these ridiculous slide shows being played while the class is working - like Dancing Babies! (sorry lol, you wouldn't understand). He is slim and tall, has a handsome face and this incredibly bad tie he always wears. Orange. Bright orange. With patterns...lol. His walk is one of a kind, he always seems to be singing to himself when I'm nearby. He's complemented my artwork! He said it was incredible - extremely accurate (it was a fern leaf). He started talking to me outside in the sunshine about how when he was studying science in university he had to do observational drawings and none were as accurate as mine! I almost DIED at that compliment....sigh. He was so happy once in class because his little girl had been born! It was sooooo......amazing. To see him so happy. His kid is so cute! She has really blond, curly hair now.

Oh dear I'm going on a bit. The question has answered itself really...but read and comment if you like - I don't mind! I've spent all this time doing this I can't be asked to throw it all away.

MidnightSky agony aunthey hey :D

your teacher sounds cool :D

mine is the same!!!

he's always singing or humming (he actually had an amazing voice :D)

and he wears bizarre ties sometimes. infact he wore a yellow shirt and orange tie!! and pulled it off!

rofl.

hes the most adorable person ever, its hard just not to be drawn to him!

he does werid little dances too! he dosent teach me for anything except guitar practise after school but he dances around anyway :L he even plays guitar to his classes!

he is like a rockstar lol :L he is actually in a badn at school called teddy bears leg with other teachers LOL.

infact when me and amy mate (who also likes him) were helping out at prospective parents evening up enhlish which is what he teaches, we were giving parents presentations on thos year seven project, and there was a class next to us with windows so you could see in, and while my mate was talking i was holding up somethings, and i notcied sir pulling faces rofl. and i was like *stifles giggle* and i mouthed 'behave!' at him LOL and he stopped and went 'wha?' and i hissed it again lol and then he grinned and went 'no :)'

and he amazes me wit his huour, how sharp he is. almost everything he says makes me laugh out loud. its like he knows what to say and he knows ill be laughing my head off!

for example my mate called herself pirate yohanson lol and she was telling sir as we ewere walking to the car park and i said i took this quiz and was 66% pirtae and immdeitley he went 'cool name!'two thirds!'

ROFL! i mean, i would not have thought of that lol, and it took me a sec to digest what he said lol coz im a bit slow but ysno :) its just like he knowsss.

and then we bumped into him and he exclaimed 'dot cotton says helloooo!' you know off eastenders lol, and we all burst out laughing. an the next day after guitar we were saying bye and i called

phil mitchell says goodbyeee!' as we were walking away lool and he grinned at me and then he turned back aroud and called 'see ya later dot cotton!' i almost fainted :)

ahhhhhhhh :D:D

rofl. i could go on and on, but yano :)

id say just enjoy the time you spend wit him, enjoy the frienship and the feelings you get, some people never experience them with anyone, so count yourself lucky :)

its not weird at all, its awesome :)

my teachers got a fiancee i think, and she is just so so lucky. but i am jelous as well :L but that comes with it i suppose! and im not gonna say oh i love him and i know what love is etc becasue i dont. but i mean who can say what love is really? and someone will only comment back saying 'oh little school girls and their crushes.' i know what a crush is. this is not it.

i think to myself, to love someone you have to know the person inside and out, trust them, accept their imperfections, and find perfection in them etc. and ovc i dont know my teacher like that. but i cant just say oh like him, i just like him a lot. because i dont. i do love him :) to me i do anyway :]

anywho, sorry for rabbiting on lol.

just remember, its not unhealthy, i always try to see my teacher too, and find excuses to go up the english department whee he is ect etc :P.

and fantasties are perfectly healthy ;)

LOL

have funnn!

:)

Oh no! I totally agree with you on that! I would never have sex with him even if he asked me! I just - I like him for who he is...which is rare for me, because I haven't had a good experience with men, especially my father. Not much experience or knowledge..you know? Thanks for your advice...the fact is I knew that already, I really just wanted to let my feelings out, I can't tell my mum or sisters because they wouldn't understand...thanks though.

Alright well...

He is a teacher. you are a student.

You are infatuated.

The only thing I can suggest is getting a boyfriend close to your age. That may ease these..."thoughts"

If like him so much you wouldn't want him going to prison for having sex with a minor would you? So just be friends, but nothing more.
