A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

How can I get someone out of my head? A guy at work has been flirting continuously with me for the last several months and I love the attention, however, he's leaving in a week or so due to promotion and I think I'll miss him terribly. He doesn't know how I feel and I don't know how he'd react if he did. I feel so confused...nothing physical has ever happened and I don't understand why I feel so torn up. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

DrPsych agony auntI agree with the others...life is too short...ASK HIM OUT! or at least get his mobile number so you can ring him later.

I agree with Mitch. Ask him out, if he says no then at least you won't have to see him again after that and you can move on completely... not telling him may make you feel worse after he's gone for what could have been.

What have you got to lose?

Ask him.
