A female United Kingdom age 22-25, *erryplant writes:

I had an argument with this girl, let's call her Nelly. It was about 2 months ago now. When we were arguing I told her to "peice out" in other words go away. Now every time I walk past her in school, her and her friend always shout at me "peice out (my name)peice out" in a low voice and laugh at me. When I was getting on the bus today they shouted it at me and they were standing with lots of other girls in our school and I said "so immature" and they started doing impressions of my voice saying "peice out, your so immature" to eachother so I put my middle finger up at them.

Now I feel like they are trying to bully me. I cant go to the teacher because I swore at them and it looks bad on me. What should i do? How can I stand up for myself? I can't fight because Im doing my GCSEs next year and I'm in a good school, I don't want to get kicked out.

aunt honesty agony auntIf they know they are annoying you they will keep going. You need to show them that it doesn't bother you. Simply smile every time they do it or walk away they will soon get bored. No need for fighting off any sort.

Andie's Thoughts agony auntYou need to try to be mature about this. Fighting is never an option and you should try not to swear.

They are just being annoying and it won't be fun if it doesn't bother you. Ignore them. Don't look, speak or swear when they're being silly. If it continue after a month of you not reacting, tell a teacher.

Honeypie agony auntI think you have several choices here:

1. do as "nonny" suggest and record them and then talk to a teacher.

2. totally ignore them. After a while, it's just not fun for them to keep at it. The more you talk smack back the more AMMO you give them to make fun of you. And the longer they will continue. They KNOW they are getting under your skin and they are ENJOYING it.

3. JUST talk to a teacher who knows YOU and them. You having cussed at them is not really SUCH a big deal in the grander scheme of things.

anytime they say anything just kiss your teeth or roll your eyes and walk away.Just ignore them. Eventually they will get bored and get lost. You don't need to say anything else to them, don't let them wind you up, they will move on to someone else eventually. If they ever do get physical with you, make you you let them throw the first few punches and make sure people are watching, then fight back with everything you've got-and if they get hurt it was self defence and you have witnesses
