writes:Hi, I would appreciate some advice,I am a 27 year old male, at University (a late starter), in the UK. My problem is that, at the age of 27 years, I have never had any sexual experience with the opposite sex, girlfriends/relationships. I am still a VIRGIN! I am very depressed as a result of my situation. I know that I am older than most of the female population at my University (most are aged from 18 to 23), but would it be inappropriate if I dated a girl aged 20+? I am still in my twenties, so I do'nt see anything wrong. I am more mentally mature than the average student in their early twenties, but I do'nt see any reason why I can not still enjoy myself at my age and socialise at bars and nightclubs.I do'nt think that I am 'too old' for nightclubs. What do you think? I

reader, anonymous, writes (15 June 2007): Don't worry about it hon. I'm 25, my boyfriend is 31 and we were both virgins until we started dating earlier this year. And you know what? Even though sex wasn't all that good and neither of us knew what the heck we were doing, we were so totally comfortable with each other and we both respected one another for having waited. This was a few months ago. We still haven't had great sex, I still haven't come close to having an orgasm (we're still learning!), but we are both glad we decided to wait for the right person because when we do have sex there's an emotional connection, knowing how much we care for each other to have waited so long. And plus, we get to explore our sexuality together, and gain experience together, learn together. It'll be worth it. :)

reader, anonymous, writes (30 May 2007): 27 doesn't seem too old for going to a club and 20+ women are adults. As for the whole virgin thing I'm 24 and still a virgin. Waiting for the right person will be worth it.

 I'm 22, and proud of my virginity. We're a valued commodity, apparently. It's due to the norm of sleeping around. Don't worry yourself over it. Just keep searching for that special someone, and share it with someone special.

 Your definately not too old for nightclubs and the girls you are at uni with. 27 is really young!
Dont stress out about being a virgin, i know i think its nicer that blokes arent out there putting it about.
Believe me when you meet the right girl it will be all the more special and you will be glad you waited.
