He has asked me to be his girlfriend on a few occasions however; I said no as I get really shy and not had a serious boyfriend etc. and I believe he should know that I think we are techincally boyfriend and girlfriend because of how we act around one another as I wouldn't be like that with anyone else. We got each other Valentines Day presents, we go out places together, tell each other that we love each other etc. we talk on IM for several hours each night, Text and call each other regularly and Text one another goodnight everynight before we go to sleep. I'd do anything to make him happy.I was just wondering whether this would be considered as going out? I mean because we havent actually said yes :S If not how can I make it clear that I want us to go out together without actually asking incase I go shy?

reader, anonymous, writes (3 April 2008): I'm sorry but I think you just have to take the plunge and ask to go out with him. He's already asked you a few times so he's not going to say no! If you'd do anything to make him happy I think you should just ask him. THAT would make him very happy!
I know it'll be very difficult but try to summon up the courage to ask him. It'll be fine after you've said it - so say it sooner rather than later!
