I am just wanting some advice from some agony aunts and uncles out there. I have started a new job in a new town recently and have slowly started to make friends. I am a shy person and dont have that many close friends anyway. The problem is that we have closed for a couple of months and yesterday we had a work party for christmas. One of the girls that I have become friendly with lately was chatty with me and I had a good time. I would like to be her friend and don't know how to go about it. i messaged her to see if she would like to go shopping next and she said she would love to. I know it might seem silly but when should I message her to see if she still wants to go? I just dont want to seem desperate/ clingy.

I would just message her whenever. I wouldn't think anything of it if someone invited me shopping and messaged a couple of times to see if I was up for it still. Just don't send more than three messages in a row without reply haha.

Have fun =)
