writes:i was seeing this guy for a couple of weeks. He came to my house feeling no pain and told me 3 times that he loved me. I really paid no attention to it since he was out and had a couple of drinks; ok, alot of drinks. We did continue to hang out that weekend. Well, then i go out. i really don't do that often but i had a few to many, so i decided to call him and tell him i love him. After that are relationship hasn't been the same. we talk or chat a couple of times a week. But, this is were im confused. he keeps on telling me we are not a couple. i tell him i now and then he will mention it again. so my question is what is he getting at. i don't call him. i will start a chat with him and i don't even talk about having a relationship with him. So what is he getting at. i do care for him a great deal. Reply to this Question

 I'd venture he's freaked out that you said the L word after only a few weeks and can't/won't handle it so he's acting all skittish. Sometimes guys are like that. I'd take Angzw's advice and play it off like you were drunk and wondered if you said something that night that upset him.

You told him you loved him after a couple of weeks so he is getting worried that you want more than he can give. I would take it back and blame it on the alcohol.
