A male United States age 51-59, anonymous writes:

I need some feedback here-,my wife and i have been married for 8 years now-weve always had our problems of course-no infidelity-nothing like that.

about 6 weeks ago we were getting ready for church and my wife tearfully told me im not in love with you anymore-dont love you and not attracted to you!! This was a shock-i knew things hadnt been great but now!

I looked into her cell phone bill and found a number she had been texting for months and called it was another man-she swears hes just a friend she met at the gym.she swears she would never cheat on me but dosent want to go to see a marriage councellor-she wants to be left alone and not work on things right now-she says for me to be strong for both of us-my wife just turned 40 shes a knockout and this guy is 27 years old-they still text each other quite a bit-any feedback?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (11 November 2008):

Well the fact that she goes to the gym and you don't says to me that she is putting in effort and being exposed to all these beefy men. I'm sure one of these younger men showing interest and being lovely to her would possibly turn her head.

What are you doing to stay in shape? and What are you doing to make her feel sexy and wanted and beautiful?

She says she needs time so I think now is your chance. make some effort, dress up a bit, be a gentleman, keep your hygiene and looks as best you can and if you need to get a bit more in shape then show her you are making effort.

It's not too late.

Good Luck!! xx
