writes:So today, the day after the last day of my period, i was peeing whn I felt something...come out. I only saw a glimpse of it, as it soon washed down into that hole at the bottom of the toilet, but it looked like a blood stained top part of a tampon. I have a memory of many cycles back i took out a tampon strangely and it appear that part of it had been ripped off, but i didn't pay much attention to it. Am I okay? I don't think I have any symptoms of TSS, but i'm not sure. Will I be okay? Does this happen alot?

 I agree that you are probably just fine but it can't hurt to have a gyn check up for peace of mind.

 You'll almost certainly be fine, but you should take a trip to the gyno to be sure. Gynos do a lot of lost tampon extractions, she'll probably just take a look and make sure it's all out.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 March 2012): Happens and doctors have seen it all. Just head to the Docs to do a quick check up as sometimes a tampon 'lost' for awhile can cause odours and infection which should clear up with perscribed yeast infection treatment.
