reader, anonymous, writes (30 June 2009): It's nature doing its thing, trying to ensure that the species (us) will carry on. I've been with a couple of girls who get enormously turned on just prior to and during their period, compared to any other time of the month, when they are indifferent to sex. Dunno about the discomfort thing though - psychological maybe?
