We go to the same school but we don't know each other, we've never talked before! He's always staring at me and walking my way in the hall and inside and outside school! He knows one of my friends and whenever he sees me with her, he comes to us but I'm too too shy and I always leave! What should I do next time he comes over? What should I say? How can I get rid of this shyness that I think will destroy the hope of being wb's friend at least??!!!!!!!!Please help me with any advice, I'm desparate!!!

reader, anonymous, writes (26 April 2009): :) well when i like a lad i always think, become their friend first so they can get to know you. then you have a chance of them liking you. you just have to be brave! and stay with your friend when he comes up - even if you just say hi. it's still a start. it does sound like he may be interested in you so just be braveee, good luck. message me if you want to talk about it further?

LOL, you can't be his friend if he doesn't know you. He can't know you if you leave at the immediate danger of his presence. Stick around, hang out, join in on the conversation. Let him get to know you through your friends. Then he'll be able to decide if you are his type, possibly ask you out! But don't act silly and goofy, just be cool and go with the flow. If you have any classes or see him at certain times, saying something like, "you're in my ___ class, right? Your name is___." Avoid saying anything about his love life as in who he dated, etc. Use something mutual and generic. Something to let him know that you do know he's alive and you do pay attention.
