writes:Need advice. My fiance was layed off from work and has had some difficulty finding a job where we live due to the economy here. The financial stress caused a lot of strain in our relationship. We have an infant son together and I have a son from a previous marriage who is very attached to him. We decided that we had to do something different in order to save our relationship. We decided that he would go stay with his family in Florida for awhile as he can work there with his stepfather. My fiance also planned to try to find another job there as well. The plan was to continue this until a)he had enough money saved to come home and continue to look for a job or b)he found a job here.The first five days he was there we talked and texted multiple times a day. Problem is I have not spoken with him in four days. His cellphone goes straight to voicemail as if the battery is dead. I have called his family and they just tell me he is out working and they will tell him I called.I feel like I am going crazy! I can't believe he wouldn't even call to check on his son. I feel like his family is hiding something from me. Anybody have any suggestions as to what might be going on or what I can do?
