writes:So i was in school the other day and my friend told me that she is bi (apparently she has not told anyone else). i myself am straight, and have known her since we were 3 (we are both 14 now). ever since she told me, i have had feelings for her, but i dont know why this is when i am straight... the other problem is, is that she has a boyfriend but she has only met him once and chats to him on msn. i dont know whether to tell her or not... i dont want to ruin our friendship because she is my best friend and since she has recently had an argument with some of her other friends i need to be there for her as someone to talk to and hang out with. i dont want to ask her because she might say "wtf" and be confused and might not want to be my friend anymore. i dont think i would have the courage to tell her in person if i did, so i would probably text her or tell her over msn. do i have these feelings just because there is someone "new on the market"? i hope i dont. please help me, thanks.

 I am a lesbian woman and i have been on the other end of the situation. After telling my straight best friend that im gay, she developed a crush and started treating me differently when we hung out. The biggest problem here is that you are not talking about these feelings with. Make it clear that you dont want to lose the friendship. I never got that chance to hear it from and everything has since fallen apart. You might just be experiencing curiousity. This does not mean you are gay or bi. Just be open with her.

 To be straight with you, you havethese feelings because you are 14 and your hormones will drive you mad! You are at a very experimental stage and her telling you something like that has just set your mind off racing, whether you have real feelings for her or not i can not tell you but it is easy to work out with few question.
1. Do you want to kiss her?
2. Do you wish she was your gf?
3. Do you fancy her?
If yes then i would say yes you do have feelings for her and it is up to you if you tell her and if you think she likes you back, or if you would rather keep the friend ship as it is.
If you answered no then it may just be because you are curious as she may be the first bui person you know and it has interested you.
