So since this first happened we have gone from making love just about every morning and night, to once or twice a week- my partner doesnt say anything but i know it must be fustrating for her as well. She is still as generous as ever (and will give me oral out of the blue quite often) but she must notice our love life is less now.Im 39, in reasonable health but not as active as i used to be (i used to play rugby and run regularly).

 You dont say whether you have been to your doctor to find out if you are not suffering from something medically wrong.
It sounds like you have a loving and very considerate partner, so perhaps it would help to discuss your problem with her, so that she understands that its not that you dont find her attractive, but something else causing your erectile problems.
