Condoms found in the bag

I have been with my boyfirend for 9 months in a long distance relationship. we have managed to spend every weekend together for nine months and i love him so much. He is moving here to be with me in three weeks. This weekend he left his washbag with his toiletires at my house and i noseyed into the bag. In one f the side zippers i found an empty condom packet and an un-opened condom. I fel sick to my stomach and confronted him about the condoms. He promised me that they were there from a previous relationship before we met a year ago and he had been lazy and not removed them, promised me he would never cheat or hurt me. I belive him but i did something gross. I checked the packet and the packet is still greasy from the condom ? surely after 9 months this would have dried up ? I am in turmoil and dont know what to think. Does anyone have any good advice ? i am so scared right now.

His story is possible I'm afraid - know this doesn't help you much. Men don't tidy out their washbag like a lot of women do and so he could have left it in there. I think you have to take him at his word - though accept it has sown some doubt in your mind and use this to be careful and keep your wits about you with him. Nobody should be taken for a fool so maintain caution.

my sweetie and i both have items in our side zippers that have been there longer than that, because we just dont think to check them. The main part that you see gets gone thru more often, but the zippered compartments are kind of out of sight, out of mind. If he hasnt given any other reason to be concerned...give him the benefit of the doubt.

Sweetie, please be serious. He is cheating and that excuse he gave you was so dumb and stupid. He is a very bad liar,Ask yourself that question,"Do you really think that condom had been in there for a whole year?"Yeah a condom can stay lubricated closed up for awhile, but not opened up in a wash bag.

Natalie90 agony auntHi hope this helps but my boyfriend kept an old condom in his wallet for a few weeks when we first started going out and like your bf he was just lazy then finally took it out ! condoms do expire but stay greasy so i wouldnt worry you also have to think about how often he uses the wash bag it may be one he only uses every so often and probly did forget they where in there. if you have no other reason to doubt him just talk to him and ask him to get rid of them because it makes you feel uncomfortable. let me know if this helps !

Did you check the date on the packets - both the empty one and the unused one?

Grease does not usually dry out, as it isn't water-based, so if left undisturbed, could still be "liquid".

I am concerned that you "noseyed" (your term) into his zipped washbag partition; you deserve all the worry it gave you for doing that!
