A male reader, Dr. John United States +, writes (3 May 2007):

Dr. John agony auntSweetheart, you have enough things going on right now that it is no wonder you feel this way. Your emotions are working overtime right now and it is going to take some time but things will get better in the emotions department. You will find someone else, and probably in a better situation between the two of you. With your Grandma, this too will pass. Sometimes it feels like you hurt so much that these emotions will never ease up but eventually they do. Later you may even look back on the situation you are now in and wonder why it just hurt so bad. But it does. Hang in there and it will get better and things will work out. Best wishes. Doc.
