I don't think I'm being treated well in this relationship

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've been with my boyfriend for two years now, and things were perfect for a very long time. He was sweet, caring, considerate. Everything that anyone would want in a man. He changed a lot after the first year, though, and ended up turning against me a little. It seemed like everything that went wrong, he blamed on me. He started calling me names and telling me to f**k off... I forgave him and came running back every time.

I apologised for things I hadn't done just to make him happy. I put myself out for him and became a doormat, and I think this lead to him taking advantage of me. Recently he's been worse than usual. He'll promise he'll call or text me and then he won't bother but he's more than happy to talk to other people (I know this because I bought him a phone and pay for his contract and it shows up on the bill the numbers he texted and when). I don't think I deserve this...

I mean I know I'm not perfect and I don't claim to be but I mean... Every birthday and Christmas I spend at least £100 on him because he likes that. I don't get angry when he shows up an hour late. I don't have a go when he cancels plans to see other people instead. It feels like I'm trying my hardest and yet I'm the one being hurt in the long run. So, my question is... How do I let go? Do I stay and work things out or do I just walk away? I can't seem to let him go because I love him with all my heart. I just can't stand this much longer.

Thank you for your time...

Don't be too kind to a unuseful man. This is a never ending situation and it will only keep him happy but make you suffer.

Leave him now, get another better person. Remember - You Deserve a better life, don't waste your time with this kind of people. He just acting like a JERK.

Get to look around you, maybe someone is waiting for you, where this person you have been left-out his feelings since you only concern your current relationship with this JERK.

Be kind to ourself.

tennisstar88 agony auntAnyone who calls you names and tells you to fuck off doesn't love you. He doesn't call or text you on the phone that's in your name that you are paying for, loves it when you spend money on him but what does he get you, he shows up a hour late often (I'm assuming) which is just rude, and he cancels your plans to see other people. You already know your his doormat and that you deserve better so why do you still want to be with this jerk? Here's what you need to do..

1. Shut that cell phone off, suspend it or cancel the line.

2. Grab a box and fill it with everything he has given you..get another box for all the pictures that one is going to the trash. Then drive to his house

3. If he is at the house, after you give him the box proceed to tell him this is over you deserve far better and tell him to fuck off.

Now if that's too much confrontation for you, text him telling it's over you're tired of being treated like such crap, and then tell him to fuck off..and then call the phone company and cancel his line. Then proceed with #2 instead of taking the stuff to his house donate to Goodwill or whatever you have in Britain. This step is necessary because this is the cleansing process..completely riding yourself off him and then working on you and being happy! I believe in you!

Lotsalove. agony auntThe word 'Mug' comes to mind. You have no self respect. YOU bought him a phone? Pay for his contract? Let him be late? Let him dump you for other people? Spend money on him when he treats you like this? Im sorry but no wonder he takes advantage of you, you simply let him.

You need to walk away RIGHT NOW. Otherwise you will never leave and he will continue treating you like shit. You need to cancel the contract ASAP, and let him fund his own phone, let him fund his own life. Forget christmas' and birthdays, you need to leave this loser, find your self respect and move on.
