writes:Hello I was wondering if you can help me because I really like this guy from my school but the thing is I don't actually know even know his name or had a course with him(both of us go to the same university) I know it sounds crazy but I started to like him because he looked so cute and shy like me like always minding his own business type. I truly felt like he liked me back but I could never overcome my shyness and talk to him. He didn't really try either which makes me believe that I was making myself believe he was interested in me. I feel like a fool and I probably won't ever see him again so how can I forget about him? Thanks you so much for reading

 I felt the same way about Shirley MacLain, after I first saw her in "The Apartment" (circa 1959).....
By 1990.... I figured out that she wasn't going to reply to ANY of my letters.... so I dropped her like a hot potato...... You can do the same...

Also don't just base your affections for a person on their looks, that is only the surface. Underneath could be a very unsavoury character. They say the quiet one's are the worse. I guess just an old wives tale but who knows.
If you get a chance, just talk to him, you'll never get anywhere by attempting to read his mind will you.

reader, anonymous, writes (5 January 2013): you know that line fight fire with fire? well, try it out, try looking at some other guys or maybe you can ask your friend to hook you up with somebody... and just relax, nobody wants to approach a girl that looks like she will say no, because even guys are afraid of denial. and, anyway, you will find your guy, just give life some time, and don't think so much about that crush of yours :))
