I can't ask her to be my gf because she's skinny and I'm fat.

I have a crush on this girl, but I don't know if I can ask her to be my girlfriend. I can't tell my mom and dad, because they would just say "my baby is in love." I try to ask her out on Fridays, but I'm just too nervous. I mean she's skinny and I'm fat, so I don't think it will work out.

littlemissalf123 agony auntFirst as girl I'll tell you that size doesn't matter to me; it's about how a guy treats me. If your a nice guy no matter your physical appearance she shouldn't mind going out with you. However if she's shallow then she was never worth you anyway. Next as a girl who wears not a 4 but a 14 i'll tell you that you get what you think you can get. Have confidence in yourself. If you think you're good enough most people will pick up on that and treat you as so. Just go for it. You'll never know what could have happened if you never took the time to try. And if it doesn't work out there are plenty of girls out there who'll appreciate you kindness over your body. That's just my advice, I hope it helps

*plac* agony auntDarling, weight and appearance have nothing to do with it! Try to get to know this girl, talk to her, be nice and funny. And then ask her out. You have nothing to lose.

Trust me, how much you weigh is not an important factor in a relationship.

I weigh 97 pounds and Im tiny compared to my boyfriend. I dont love him for his apperance - its because of what he is on the inside. If this chick cant see that, then she is SOO not worth it.

SJ_ninety agony auntParents never really "help", do they? lol Even though being a bit bigger compared to other guys has something to do with how a girl chooses a guy (especially at your age), if she's at all classy, she will be with you because of how amazing you are. Sure, she might want a cute guy, but who's to say she doesn't find chubby guys cute? Haha, I mean, I myself am skinny...and a chubby chaser (I only like bigger guys). Don't be completely obvious that you want to be with her, though; that'll just make you look desperate, but definitely drop hints. Sorry to say, but girls are not as clueless as guys when it comes to relationships and feelings, so she should pick up on it really quickly. If she rejects you or completely ignores your advances, that's her problem. Not yours. That means she missed out on something spectacular; something you were more than willing to give her!

And don't worry about the weight problem: sometimes girls like love handles on their guys and most of the time, guys grow into their weight. Considering your age, you still have about 5-7 years of growing to do. Be patient. :)
