I asked him out and now he's dating my friend

A female United Kingdom age 26-29, *odie-alice-x writes:

I moved school about two months ago, I have a crush on a boy there - Let's call him R.

He makes me feel nice about myself and flirts with me most of the time, and he is just a generally nice lad.

Two nights ago I told R that I had a crush on him, he said he didn't know if he felt that way about me back - But he could do.

But then today, he got a girlfriend - Who is one of my best friends called M.

I haven't told anyone about my crush on R.

But it really hurts and I don't want to see them together - I don't know how I will react if they kiss infront of me.

And I don't know what to do, what should I do? :/

Jodie.
