Hello.

I'm 16 about 4 days ago I had sex with my boyfriend.

He used a condom but I'm so worried I might be pregnant I don't think the condom "broke" or anything, I would've felt it or heard it,right? I didn't notice a tear or anything in the condom and I trust my boyfriend so much I know he'd tell me if it had torn or anything I just don't know why I'm so scared!

My period is due some time soon but the only thing that frightens me if I am pregnant how would I tell my mum? She'd be so dissapointed and I can't be a mum at this age I have college to go to, heck I can't even look after myself the thought of being pregnant just terrifies me, I 've always had this fear even before I was sexually active and I don't know why.

I just really don't want to be a young mum.

I'm so scared.

Can anyone help me put my mind at ease?

Thank you in advance

Thank you for your answers.

I've talked this through with my boyfriend he obviously didn't take this too well but he apologised for over reacting but he did reassure me its most likely just my period thats making me cramp and feel bloated which is nice to know.

Thanks again everybody :)

xx

Morning after pills. Look into them.

If you had sex 4 days ago then you've still got about a day to do it.

Do you know exactly where you're at in your cycle? Ask your mother if you can be put on birth control, if the condom didn't break I think you should be okay.

Sminky agony auntTry not to worry, I'm sure if the condom had split, your boyfriend would have told you, if only so you could do something like take the morning after pill. He doesn't want to be a dad yet, either right? If this scares you this much, you may not be as ready for sex as you thought, its ok to slow down once you have started, you don't have to keep up with anyone. I understand if you want to carry on in a sexual relationship though, so would you feel comfortable seeing you GP about maybe going on the pill? You are 16, they cannot tell your parents and you can ask to see a woman. Still use condoms though, by doubly protecting yourself you will be doubly safe from pregnancy and STIs. The only gauranteed way to prevent pregnancy, however, is not to have sex at all. Good luck.
