Help plz! A few weeks ago I asked or rather told my bf I want to dye my hair, he said that I was being silly a few days after I brought the same thing up then he yelled at me and said I'm being silly and his not boss .. Well then I dyed my hair, I had three shades to my natural hair, it was really dark brown on top of my head with almost blonde strikes and light brown from the neck down to the bottom of the end of my spine, I dyed the top like the bottom, at first it looked great and everyone says it looks wonderful but I just cant stand the way I look, I miss my dark hair :( slowly hating myself for doing it.. Is there a away I can undo or un dye my hair, will trying to wash it out work ? It says it lasts up to 6 weeks but I don't want it. I vow never to dye my hair again .. :'( ... Thanks xxx

Hello there ! Finally shoo .. I went back to my hairdresser when I got there I just burst into tears and then she knew. She dyed it like chestnut brown, it looks a million times better it still has a bit of a red shade but it looks good, at least now I can actually look at myself. I still never should have done it .. I just hope when my hair goes back to normal it skips the orange stage.. Thank you very much for all your help !!

chigirl agony auntYepp, just dye it back to a darker colour. But 6 weeks isn't long and yes it will wash out if it is not permanent. Just wash your hair as usual. But your hair might be of a different texture after the dye as it is a chemical prosess that damages the hair. So if I was you I'd wait it out the 6 weeks and then if the colour isn't back to normal within two months, go to the hair dresser and ask them to dye it for you.

6 weeks? so it isnt permanent? Just buy a different shade in the same 6 week brand. Dye it back to the shade you want, and use deep conditioning treatment, like Aussie, and wait it out. Maybe style your hair differently for a while too. I had a bad highlight job, so instead of parting my hair in the middle I parted it on the side. It looked cute and hid the botched job.

Not My Name agony auntIf you have bleached it, just dye it dark again. Fixed in half an hour.

You can strip darker colors out of ighter hair, but it is expensive and damaging. You cant reverse bleaching except to dye over the top of it.

Any colors with reds are notorious for sticking around, so even a dark dye can leave you with a tinge that you may need to grow out to eventually get rid of properly.
