Its quiet natural and you don't need to worry. There is nothing wrong if you shave (shave is the best way rather than any other method).

I am also asian in my 50s, have dark black hairs, starts about 3-4 inches below my navel. I had been shaving from early age till now.

I wear saree below navel low on my hips and never mind show of few days grown pubic hairs. Believe me I am always admired and never had any problem. You can wear short tops and show your belly even if you have a few days grown hairs.

hey chick, i have the same problem!! i have dark hair, and have noticeable hair leading right up to my bellybutton, and have been teased on numerous occasions! however, i used a bleach especially for such body hair, called 'jolen' a UK product, but theres loads out there. it doesnt give terribly long lasting effects, but its great if your heading out, or going on a holiday for a week or two. i used to use hair removal cream but i didnt like the sprouting of stubble-like hair that regrew! hope this helps,xx

laurie-loo agony aunti have the same problem but i just shave it off, some people say you shouldent as it grows back thicker but honestly it grows back exactly the same its just an old wives tale. if your really uncomftable you could try waxing it (this will keep the hair away longer) or simply shaving it off.
