A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My brother really needs help.

Last Sept got his heart destroyed by some girl, and now he's become a complete recluse. Before her, he was a bit of a shut in anyway, but now he won't talk to anyone, my friends tell me that when he's at uni during his free time, he just goes and sits in a dark corner. He's also apparently not spoken to anyone outside of the family and work since sept, 1 year without talking to people.

Advise, help please... i think he may be contimplating killing himself aswell!

I would agree with Red Green. Also, make your parents aware as well. If he's seriously depressed, he needs help quickly.

Make sure that he knows that your there for him, and don't try to tell him what to do. Be supportive. You may need to go and seek professional advice as to how to best help him. He sounds very depressed, which can result in nasty outcomes- depression is a rough desease, and getting the victum to admit there's a problem can be the hardest part of the recovery.
