stina agony auntHi Anon,

You might want to speak to your doctor about the cream called Sulfacet-R. My mother-in-law uses it. She's had adult acne all of her life and went through TONS of medications. She was actually perscribed this because of her rosacea, so it also made her face not look so red. After two weeks, all of her spots and the redness went away. I'm not sure if there is an age limit to using this product, though.

I also have SUPER sensitive skin and it can break out easily. But I've been using Arbonne Clear Advantage (the whole set) and hardly have any problems at all anymore. It has a nice, mild soap and toner that you use every morning/night, vitamins that are put together specifically to clear skin, and a lotion with natural astringents in it to keep your skin clear and it will help your skin not to dry out. When your skin is dry, excess oil is produced which then causes blockages in pores resulting in more spots. You can find the sets only through consultants, but eBay has a ton of sets for sale (and at a cheaper price, too). It's a little bit pricey, but it's well worth it. Plus it's the only all natural and vegan product out there (actually has the vegan seal, too!).

Hope this helps!

Hi

I had terrible acne at your age, none of the over-the-counter or highstreet products worked at all, in fact it made them worse. Eventually I managed to convince my GP to refer me to a specialist at an out-patient clinic in hospital and I was prescribed a drug called Roaccutane. This is for severe acne but, can have some serious side-effects so your acne has to be quite bad for them to prescribe it to you. It is a wonder drug though, it cleared up my skin within months and I pretty much never got a single spot again!

willywombat agony auntTry a trip to you GP. If you have acne then there are many many treatments that you can try. Mine cleared up with a long term course of antibiotics, but there are some topical treatments that work for other people. Your doctor is your first port of call.

Good luck.

My son is just aged 15 and he was covered in spots a few months ago. He keeps his towels and washing stuff in his room, so only he uses them now. I also got him some cream made by Clearasil which he applied twice per day. They magically went. But not everyone is the same. Sometimes these can be set off by stress. Stress to do with exams etc. But keep your skin clean and germ free. There is no need to over wash. And keep your cleaning stuff to yourself. Don't let others use them. I hope this helps. It is a teenage thing.

Take care
