Im not going to be rude because you may not believe this but i felt the way you are feeling, yes it does make you miserable. im not if it is love, but you really did care about this guy. You can get over this but it will take time which means not going out with other guy at your new school.
To get over him you need to make new friends and just forget guys for a while, take up a new hobby or try something new, distract yourself - but when you do think of him you should think of happy memories and just be glad you got to no this guy.
Talk to your girlfriends and plan a girly weekend free from guys and get them to help you get over your blues.
