 Perhaps your friend is sensitive and needs an emotional connection with a woman. I think that is a very good indication that he is not interested in sex just for sex.
It is a good idea to forget about prostitutes ever again as that can lead to more problems in the future. Women are not interested in men that frequents prostitutes.
Nothing is wrong with him. Better he spend his time looking for a girlfriend and take care of his needs himself until he finds a real girl.

 'Your friend' was probably nervous and so this caused his problems.. 'he' needs to find someone he is relaxed around and experiment with them and all will be fine... there will be no pressure on him that way.Good luck, I mean tell your friend good luck ;)
