writes: my partner of 5 years drove 300 miles to go to a christmas reunion with old work collegues. I tied to ring him on his mobile - no answeri rang a few times more with no answer (he says it was on silent mode)he wont tell me where he stayed and lied about the hotel he said he stayed in.his clothes don't smell of smoke (although he said he was in smokey pubs)he won't talk about what they did/talked about/names of collegues etc.I know i am suspicious - but he is making me worst by lying and not talking about his christmas get to togetherI feel like i am going mad - his mobile is always hidden/on silent/password protected.when me met he told me he was divorced. I later found out that he wasn't yet divorced, still living in the same house with his ex and I also found a text on his mobile from another woman asking him if they were still friends or lovers...maybe now i am getting what i deserve and he is doing the dirty to me?

reader, anonymous, writes (4 December 2006): I think you have just hit the nail on the head. Sorry to be blunt but this is a serial liar. They do exist!! He told you he was divorced when he wasn't. He's been away on a Christmas reunion and hasn't talked about it. My bloke would be full of it!! I think you have to decide what you want from this. Personally i would try and get him to talk about it and if that doesn't work then i would get rid of this one. He won't be any good as long as he has a hole in his ar*e!!! You deserve better and shouldn't have to put up with this.
