He says he likes me only as a friend, but he flirts with other girls who are only friends! So why not me?

Question - (1 August 2009) 6 Answers - (Newest, 6 August 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Hola :D So one of my best guy friends is a REAL BIG flirt. He flirts with every single girl 24/7. Although he doesn't flirt with me, he told me he thought I was cute once and on occasions he pinches my cheeks and tells me I'm funny, but he does it very rarely. He will flirt with girls even if he doesn't like them all the time and I was wondering why he hardly flirts with me. I liked him at one point, told him, but he said he only likes me as a close friend, and he thought I was really cool. But if he flirts with other girls who are good friends with him who he isn't in to, how come he doesn't flirt with me even though he likes my personality and finds me attractive? Thanks in advanced :)

Love_is_all_youu_need agony auntI agree with what most posters have said; it would be unfair for him to flirt with you because it would mess with your emotions and he would be leading you on.

However, you could consider the possibility that he may not have you liked you back then/confused as to how he felt, but perhaps his feelings have changed towards you? He may be flirting with other girls to make you jealous. Just ask yourself when this flirting started; was it before or after you told him how you felt?

If it was after then i would bare in mind the possibility of him trying to make you jealous. If this is the case, read up on 'body language' it gives you a list of indications that suggest he may like you.

Then again, he may just be a natural flirt and actually see you as ONLY a friend

xx
