I am really sad at the moment...im 40 and my boyfriend is the same age, anyway we had a great time on friday and last night he said he was thinking about me on email...we were still exchanging emails and he thought i was in a funny mood with him...but i wasn't...i guess i was a bit tired and irritable and maybe it showed like on on the emails to him.Anyway just now he thought i was being funny yesterday and i said he got it wrong...then he said that i was better off without him for the moment....i was completely shocked.I said ok...and that was it....Do you think he really meant it? I know he has a very sressful job and i can be fiery sometimes but im so depressed now.What shall i do?

When a guy says "your better off without me" i never believe it. If hes not with you then its usually because he doesnt want to be, sucks to hear but better to lose a lover than love a looser! :)

Back off from him. Something has happened to change him, so he needs space. If you try looking for an answer, you won't get one. If he doesn't contact you again, then it's over.
