writes:Hi, well I've liked this lad for about 5 yrs on and off :S anyway, he told my mates that he liked me too, but wouldn't go out with me because i go to the same school as him, he said he didn't know what to do.He's got a girlfriend now :( i still really like him...he only talks to me at parties or when he has an excuse to talk to me...when he does talk to me he is soooo nice, but most of the time he ignores me :S soo i'm realllly confused i don't understand what i've done wrong to him...please help!!! All my friends have noticed this change, we used to be sooo close, but now all i get off him is weird looks, it makes me soo sad, i can't stop thinking about it because he said he liked me...i'd rather he just said he didn't have any feelings for me than getting my hopes up :(

Hey girl...sounds like you are very confused right now and i can understand that! This guy would not say he likes you if he didnt. But sounds to me like he is not mature enough to be in comitted relationship. That's why he didnt want to go out with you, being in the same school and all...he is not ready to spend his time at school as part of a couple. And the fact that he has another chick and he is acting funny around you screams of him feeling uncomfortable. He obviously still likes you too, but he knows he should not really, and therefore he is acting retarded. Best thing for you to do is act like you dont care, just be nice but remain nonchalant. He will grow up!
