My best friend's nephew is older than her, (17 on Sunday) and she introduced us a while ago, I think we got on quite well, he's my exact type, kind, funny, I spoke to him on msn and bebo and I decided I really like him. Some people suggested I should tell him how I felt and I did, the only problem is he lives 130 miles away. He told me he was really sorry and he would if the distance wasn't so far but can we still be friends?.

I felt like he was only saying this to be nice, I'm glad he was nice about it but it still hurt, (this is the first time I have ever asked anyone out) and I don't know how to talk to him any more even though I want to stay friends, I also feel bad as Ii have been feeling a bit off with my best friend even though it's not her fault. Any ideas what I could do?
