writes:I have known this guy for 8 years, and we saw each other a few times and still in contact now even though we are in relationships. I previously messed him around alot in the past which he still reminds me of now.I like him alot and for the past year we speak regular on and off...one minute he talks to me for days the next he ignores me for weeks...I still text him cos i feel theres something there iv tried to move on but i cant. He says all i did was mess him about and when we start to talk bout it and i say i really like him he backs off and doesnt talk to me for weeks and will literally ignore me...does he actually like me and should i pursue this??

 Well obviously you hurt his feelings and the wounds are not healed yet. He kind of lost his trust since you messed with him. You need to try hard to prove him that you changed since then. I'm sure he still cares...but understand that his ignorance is his self-protect mechanism.

No, not worth pursuing I'm afraid. He's trying to make you feel bad. You already do, you don't need it shoved down your throat all the time. If he really liked you, he would have tried to get over it by now.
