Havn't been on a date in a while, what should do to prepare?

A female New Zealand age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hey, I'm looking for some advice on how to get the guy! I've been asked out by a guy at work and am a bit nervous. Haven't been on a date with someone I actually like for 7 years. Split up with my ex 6 years ago, after he cheated on me for the second time. Was heartbroken for months. At the start of this year, a friend tried to set me up with someone, went on the date, but wasn't interested in seeing him again. After that, I decided I was "off men", but, out of the blue, got talking to a male colleague. I've seen him around at work before, always thought he was handsome and sweet. Since we've been talking, I've enjoyed his company, and would love to get to know him better. I know that he's single, but I think he has a reputation as being a charmer with the ladies. Anyway, to my surprise and pleasure, he texted me to ask me to meet up with him for a drink next week. I'm really pleased, and have said yes, but now I'm really nervous. I plan to go along and treat it as friends meeting up, but I'd like some tips on how to attract his interest in me as more than just a friend, and how to suss out what he thinks of me? I'm totally out of touch with dating. Are there sure fire ways/signals to tell me that he's not interested in me as mote than a friend? What signs might he look out for in me? I'm not necessarily looking for a relationship, as it would be cool just to get to know him better, but he is sooo hot! Anyway, sorry for the stupid questions and thanks for any advice :)

Well, u said u want to suss away his opinion about u,all u can do is to show that u aren't men-contra. Or u can tell ur story so he could understand.

About what kind of sign that may show if he is interested in u is by counting how many time he asks u out. If more than he does to other girls, then congratulations. Well seems like this question had been posted few months ago, hope u already find the answer by urself
