Girlfriend innapropriate on FB

Question - (6 March 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 6 March 2010)
A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

So tonight my girlfriend of 2 1/2 months, who I generally have a good time with did something that made me really jealous tonight. So we're talking on the phone tonight and she was reading her facebook while doing so. Then she noticed that her friend was her lover of the day(randomly selected by facebook) and was surprised by his comment that he left her. So she told me about how she and him saw each other that day and why he said that. Let me organize the events in which they happened.

Earlier that day she told me she tackled him and was saying "i love u 'soandso'" so at first I didn't get mad or anything I was just like okay whatever it's just friendly bullshit. Then he ends up being lover of the day on facebook that night so he comments on it "saw that one coming lol". so then she writes on his wall "I F***** LOVE YOU".

Should I be concerned about this? It's hard to tell if it's just harmless or more than just being friendly...she tells me she loves me and misses me all the time and has expressed a deep affection for me every night I have talked to her. I've always felt like I am number one to her but at the same time I see things like that and I just don't know what to think. She doesn't seem like the type to cheat but still should I worry about it?

sarcy24 agony auntHarmless flirting, joking or not I wouldn't like it either. I think you should calmly point out to her that if she is in a relationship with you that harmless though it may be that you don't like it and find it upsetting and that you would appreciate it if she stops it. Also say how would she like it if you did the same with another girl.

If she laughs it off and continues to do what she wants to do then I would think about looking for another girlfriend.

Auntie E agony auntFirst of all why is this girl on FB while she is talking to you on the phone? You don't say how old she is but she sounds very immature to me. If you and she are posted on each other's profile as being in a relationship with one another she should respect you enough not to fool around with guy for all to see on FB - even if it is explained as all in fun.
