writes:I had unprotected sex with my ex on saturday night, i have been taking the pill but went away and forgot to take it on thursday or friday and saturday morning. I took it again when i got home sunday morning.I woke up this morning and had my period. Is it possible that i could be pregnant?Any answers/ advice would be great!Thank you!

reader, anonymous, writes (1 June 2009): Some pregnant women report having period while they are pregnant. I don't think this is common. The best way to be sure, though, is to take a pregnancy test now... and to use condoms as a back-up in the future if you have trouble remembering your pills. Good luck!
