 I had a major crush on a guy in my year for 5 long years. During that time he had other girlfriends and stuff, but i never really had any classes with him, but he was part of my circle of friends.
So, ALL of my friends knew that i liked him, and around my GCSE's i ended up having a little party at mine, and everyone came along including my crush. The girls had been bugging me for weeks and weeks to just ask him out, but i was scared that he would say no. He lived in the next town along with a couple of others, so they were just leaving to get the last train back into their town, and the girls basically forced me to run outside the house to ask him out. I ran out onto the road and shouted his name and then asked if he would go out with me. He kinda stumbled a bit, so i just said to tell me at school on monday.
So on monday i had one lesson with him. I was so scared he was going to say no that as soon as the bell rang i bolted from the room. Other guy friends had told me not to panic, but i didn't really see my crush for the next couple of days.
So wednesday lunchtime, my crush approaches me and asks to talk in private. I was so scared it was untrue!!! We were talking about the party i had and he thanked me for inviting him. Then out of the blue he said 'oh by the way, yes' at first i didn't know what he meant and pulled a confused face, then he started grinning and took hold of my hand and said 'yes, i'd love to go out with you'
I nearly fainted i was so happy. and when we walked back to our group of friends hand in hand, everyone cheered and hugged us.
I remember it so vividly, and i've smiled the whole time i've been typing this out.
